Biography
Maria DeRoche is the Program Coordinator for LSU's Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs, where she leads communications and supports the planning and execution of the Center’s programming, events and public engagement initiatives. Beginning in Spring 2026, she will also serve as an adjunct instructor at the Manship School.
DeRoche earned her Master of Mass Communication (MMC) from the Manship School in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication, with a concentration in public relations and a minor in promotional management, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2022).
Prior to her current role, DeRoche served as a graduate assistant for the Reilly Center, where she supported communications, research and event logistics. She previously interned with Louisiana Folk Roots, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Louisiana’s traditional cultural expressions.
Originally from Prairieville, Louisiana, DeRoche’s professional interests include strategic communications, public relations and community-focused programming.
