Research Interest

My research focuses on periparturient physiology and disease in cattle, which includes deepening our understanding of the transition period in dairy cattle, neonatal health and wellbeing, and the development of novel cow-side diagnostics for early disease detection. I also have a strong interest in bovine infectious disease epidemiology and how emerging technologies, such as machine learning models, can be used to predict and prevent infectious diseases in food animals.

Teaching Interest

My teaching interests involve educating DVM students, graduate students, and house officers on various topics related to food animal medicine, reproduction, and surgery, including metabolic diseases and nutrition, gastrointestinal disorders, and respiratory conditions. I also enjoy teaching clinically relevant topics and transferring my clinical and surgical skills to DVM students and house officers through a dynamic and inclusive approach that fosters critical thinking and practical problem-solving.

Clinical Interest

I have broad clinical interests in ruminant medicine, reproduction, and surgery. I am particularly interested in managing neonatal health conditions, hoof problems, and dystocia. My surgical interests include cesarean section, correction of displaced abomasum, hernia repair, rumenotomy, and ocular surgery, as well as routine management-related surgical procedures such as castration, dehorning, and tail amputation.
