LSU Discover poster boards are available to faculty and staff by request when we're not using them ourselves. Poster boards are not available during the month of April. The poster boards are of an A-frame construction that we hand-made out of foam core sheets, duct tape, and black felt fabric. They are delicate and should be handled with care. They measure 4 feet x 4 feet, are double sided, and should be set up on a table (see photo above). Interested parties may complete the Poster Board Request Form to submit a request.
Note: only hook side velcro should be placed on the back of the posters to adhere them to the felt on the boards. NO clips, pins, stickers, tacks, tape, etc. - nothing else at all! - should be placed on these boards to attach posters.
Note: Due to major construction on Field House Drive in front of our building (Hatcher Hall), you will need to access Hatcher from either the stadium side (requires C lot pass) or by parking on North Stadium and hand carting the posters to your vehicle. If your event is located near Hatcher Hall, you may just want to hand cart them directly to your venue. Our student workers will be on hand to assist you.
Policies
- DO NOT stick anything (tape, stickers, pins, tacks, etc) to the poster stand
- The ONLY thing which may be attached to the poster stand is the loop side of the provided velcro sticker. The sticky part of the velcro sticker should be attached to the back of the poster. Attaching the sticky side of the velcro sticker to the poster board will damage the felt.
- Poster boards must NOT be exposed to rain or water
- Delivery
- must be picked up and returned during LSU Discover office hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, excluding university holidays.
- Damage - any damage to items loaned out (poster boards, hand trucks, ratchet straps, etc.) will be charged to the borrower.
- Poster boards may not be used for off-campus events unless given permission.
- Poster boards are not available for rental any time in April leading up to LSU Discover Day.

Costs for Damaged/Missing Items

| Hand truck for moving poster boards | $600.00. Your account will be charged for any repairs or replacement needed after use. |
